Extra Long: The second ring is longer to cover the arms, chest, and upper back, and help shield the abdomen from chewing.
Extra Long w/ Firm layer: An additional firm layer is sewn into the cone to stiffen it and help prevent the pet from lifting the cone.

The short ring near the face and mouth is designed so your pet may have free movement to eat or drink. You may still need to supplement as a cone may be restrictive.
The long ring draping the upper chest, front arms, and upper back works as a cape to protect the neck, chest, arm, and upper body.
The fit: An emergency cone should fit around your pet’s neck but still leave a finger-tip amount of space. All emergency cones are made to fit a standard-sized chinchilla, with some wiggle room for smaller or larger pets. The velcro does not need to perfectly line up due to this.

We do not sell carriers and cages, but we do suggest the Prevue Pet Products Travel Bird Cage. It is collapsable and measures 20L x 12 ½W x 15 ½H inches, with a bar spacing of 3/4 inch. The wire bottom is 1/2” and safe for chinchillas, but can be covered with fleece pads. It comes with two coop cups for food, but don’t use the perch ( that is for birds ).
