Terms of Service – Chinnie Boutique

Thank you for shopping with Chinnie Boutique! Please review our policies carefully before placing your order. By completing a purchase, you agree to the following terms:

1. Order Concerns & Delivery

  • Please contact Chinnie Boutique or the carrier within 5 days of delivery with any concerns about your order.

  • Packages are considered late 15 days after the expected delivery date.

2. Returns Policy

  • Custom, discount, or sale items are not eligible for returns.

  • Premade, Sale, and Discount items are sold AS-IS and final sale. Any defects or damages will be disclosed in the product listing.

Accepted Returns

We accept returns only in the following cases:

  1. Incorrect Item – If you received the wrong order or item, contact us at Chinnieboutique@gmail.com.

  2. Carrier Damage – If your order arrived damaged due to postal carrier negligence, please contact your local post office and file a claim directly with the carrier. ( Insurance on orders is sold separately; be sure to add insurance to your package if you wish to have it insured! )

  3. Defective Item – If you believe your item is defective, email us at Chinnieboutique@gmail.com. We may request photos or require the item to be returned for inspection before issuing a replacement or refund.

3. Refunds & Replacements

  • Items determined to be defective due to craftsmanship may be replaced with:

    • The same item, or

    • An item of equal value, or

    • A refund (at our discretion).

  • Items must be returned for inspection if requested.

  • Refunds/replacements will not be issued without the requested proof or return.

4. Undeliverable / Returned Packages

If a package is returned to us because of an incorrect or undeliverable address provided by the customer, or because the package was not retrieved:

Customers may choose one of the following:

  • Reshipment – The order can be reshipped to a corrected address at the customer’s expense (including all shipping fees).

  • Refund – The order may be refunded, minus:

    • The original shipping cost, and

    • A 50% restocking fee.

Chinnie Boutique is not responsible for packages returned due to incorrect addresses or unclaimed deliveries. Our responsibility is to fulfill and ship orders to the address provided at checkout. It is the customer’s responsibility to:

  • Provide an accurate, deliverable shipping address.

  • Ensure that a secure mailbox or receptacle is available for delivery.

  • Retrieve their package promptly from the carrier if a delivery attempt is made.

5. Missing or Stolen Packages

  • If you believe your package was stolen, you must contact your local authorities and the postal office to submit a formal report.

  • Chinnie Boutique reserves the right to review these documents and determine refund/replacement eligibility at our sole discretion.

  • Packages marked “Delivered” by the carrier are considered successfully delivered and completed. We provide tracking on all orders.

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to:

    • Provide an accurate, deliverable shipping address.

    • Ensure that a secure mailbox or receptacle is available for delivery.

    • Retrieve their package promptly from the carrier if a delivery attempt is made.

6. Cancellations

  • No Order Cancellations – Once an order is placed and payment is processed, cancellations are not accepted.

  • Customer Responsibility – Please double-check your order details (items, quantities, shipping address) before completing checkout.

  • Exceptions – In rare cases, cancellations may be approved at our discretion. If granted, items must be returned at the customer’s expense.

7. Insurance Claims

To submit an insurance claim for damaged or missing packages, you may file directly with the carrier or contact Chinnie Boutique for assistance.

  • Insurance Coverage:

    • All orders valued at $800 USD or more are automatically insured at no additional cost.

    • For orders under $800, an insurance add-on is available here:

    • Insurance must be purchased prior to checkout in order to be eligible for claims.

  • Claim Requirements:

    • Damaged items must be reported within 5 days of delivery.

    • Missing packages must be reported within 15 days after the expected delivery date.

    • You must provide:

      • Photos of damaged items, packaging, and the full shipping label, OR

      • A copy of the police report in the case of theft.

    • All packaging and items must be saved for possible inspection.

Uninsured shipments are not eligible for refunds or replacements in cases of theft, loss, or damage.

Processing Timeline ( on average )

  • Carrier inspections/insurance reviews: 5–7 business days.

  • Reimbursements from the carrier: an additional 5–7 business days.

  • Once the carrier completes its review, please allow us to contact you about replacement or refund estimates.

Expedited Shipping – Important Information

  • Non-Refundable: Once purchased, expedited shipping charges are non-refundable. The service fee is for the carrier’s expedited delivery, which is considered rendered once your order ships.

  • USPS Delivery Guarantee: USPS guarantees delivery for Priority Mail Express. In the event of late delivery, customers may file a claim directly with USPS for reimbursement. Defining Shipping

  • Shipping Costs: Calculated based on the size and weight of your order, plus a small percentage to cover packaging materials and supplies.

  • Processing Time: Orders are typically shipped within 3–5 business days (Monday–Friday, excluding holidays).

  • Express Mail: For expedited shipping, please email us at Chinnieboutique@gmail.com. Express Mail orders are shipped the following business day.

Chinnie Boutique is a one-person business. Along with running this shop, I also coordinate for a local non-profit rescue and manage my household. I usually ship twice a week (or more when possible). Emergency Cones – Disclaimer

By purchasing an emergency cone from Chinnie Boutique, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • Not a Toy or Accessory: Emergency cones are medical aids, not toys or fashion accessories.

  • Veterinary Guidance: You are responsible for contacting your exotic veterinarian and seeking their guidance before use. An emergency cone is not a substitute for immediate medical care or advice from a licensed professional.

  • Supervision Required: Pets must be closely supervised while using an emergency cone. Cones should only be used with pets housed in a small, single-level carrier.

  • Assumption of Risk: By using this product, you assume all risk and liability. Chinnie Boutique is not a licensed veterinarian and is not responsible for any misuse, injury, or complications that may arise.
