Enamel Pin | Butterfly Collection
$2.00 from every enamel pin in this selection will be donated to Cali_FID Parrot and Exotic Rescue Sanctuary - A legal 501(c)3 Non-profit rescue that cares for Chinchillas in California.
One of my favorite side projects, figuring out how enamel pins are done!
This is my first collection of enamel pins and they are very special to me.
The Butterfly that inspired this design is a gulf fritillary, which only lives on passionfruit vines and is a native butterfly here that I use to hatch and release. When I would release them, they would sit on my arm, or take a rest right on my late dog Sweetie’s back. Sweetie was my little cheerleader while I worked, and I like to believe she has butterfly wings over the rainbow bridge. The black velvet chinchilla represents one of my late chinchillas, named Joy. The standard grey chinchilla represents another late chinchilla of mine, Darrell, who was one of my first Chinchillas and who I originally started sewing for…. The beige one is just because that color cut away was cute and Sweetie was a red merle!
