About our ledges:
Handmade with care by my husband, Jess. He crafts our ledges from kiln-dried pine, non-toxic wood glue, and sturdy hardware, including metal wall hanger bolts, washers, and wing nuts. We always dreamed of offering wooden cage accessories, but between my sewing and his work, we never had the time. Then, in the summer of 2025, Jess was unexpectedly laid off from his HVAC job. Suddenly, we were in financial limbo, and that’s when we decided to “go for it”!
Jess puts a great deal of care and effort into this new addition to Chinnie Boutique. From hand-selecting each kiln-dried pine board (ensuring there’s no bowing or splitting), to carefully cutting every piece by hand, sanding for a buttery smooth finish, and assembling them securely so they’re safe for your pets. Every step is done with love and precision.
Thankfully, Jess has since found a new and better position with a different company. But we still want to keep these ledges available for YOU! We’ll do our best to keep 10–20 units of each size in stock and ready to ship for your order. We’ll be making more each weekend, but because these are weekend-only projects, shipment may sometimes take 1–2 weeks if we have to restock. We appreciate your patience and support.
