Special Needs if any: Small non-issue belly hernia
Description: Welcome Dee Dee to Cali FID Parrot & Exotic Rescue Sanctuary!
Dee Dee is under 2 years old and is a beautiful beige chinchilla. She has soft beige fur, pink skin details on her ears, feet, and nose, burgundy eyes, and little “angel kisses” on her ears (those are freckles!).
Upon surrender, we quickly noticed what appears to be an umbilical hernia. It's not unheard of, and we were told that Dee Dee had a difficult birth.
Dee Dee finished a 120-day maternity hold
Her history:
Dee Dee's original owner had been trying to rehome her and two others for quite some time. A home in Sacramento stepped up to give them a safe place in the meantime, thinking that finding a new home for them would be fairly easy.
Several months later, with no luck, they decided it was time to ask for help.
They were concerned about the care they were providing, but after a long conversation, we were able to put those concerns to rest. They were actually doing a great job caring for them!
The problem was that private obligations would have them in and out of the state, and it was becoming difficult to find reliable help to check on the chinchillas while they were away.
To adopt, you must apply with Cali_FID Rescue. Go to www.califidparrotandexotic.com and fill out the adoption application.
These animals live in FOSTER HOMES. The rescue group does not have a facility for visitors.
