About Levi

Levi is full of energy. He's unphased about being in a strange place, new playpen, with new things. He was ready to rock and roll. He zoomed everywhere and started wall surfing off the walls and hides. He's 100% likely to learn how to jump out of playpens, so whomever adopts this young boy will need a chin-safe play space. He would likely benefit from a larger cage since he is such an active chin. A single or double critter / ferret nation cage would do it!

Levi was brought to the rescue after his family tried to drop him off at the local wild life center, a few weeks after buying him from a chain store. Chain stores don't take their animals back, and the family didn't think to rehome him or look for an exotic rescue first. He was just a tiny thing when he arrived, we expect around 5-6 months old. He's now just over a year and STILL waiting on someone to apply for him.

He will always be a small chinchilla, unfortunately he didn't get the care he needed to grow big and strong, and his genetics worked against him, but he is plump for his size and healthy otherwise.

Since he isn't so shy, I would say he would make a good " first " chinchilla. He's also curious and interactive, so I would also say he's good to go for a home with older kids ( if mom & dad are committed to keeping up with his care for 25+ years, he's a long term commitment & not a toy to rehome later. )
