Meet Dusty!
Dusty is a charming Standard Grey male chinchilla who’s around 4 years old. He came to our rescue after his original owner had to surrender him due to an out-of-state move. It was a heart-wrenching decision, but his owner put Dusty’s well-being first, giving him a second chance at a better life.
Dusty was later adopted, but...
The adopting family, in the process of building their dream home, moved into an RV and planned to house him outside. Realizing they couldn’t properly care for him during this transition, they made the difficult decision to return him to the rescue.
Dusty has now been back with us for a year. He had been living with another male chinchilla until an unfortunate accident caused them to fight. Since then, both boys have been housed separately.
Dusty is a small chinchilla with the longest whiskers and the biggest heart. He's easy to hold and loves any snacks you offer him. He does well with families and truly deserves a furever home.
To adopt, you must apply with Cali_FID Rescue. Go to www.califidparrotandexotic.com and fill out the adoption application.
These animals live in FOSTER HOMES. The rescue group does not have a facility for visitors.
